Get Involved

The voice of every resident in our region is important. That is why we are making a coordinated effort to hear from as many people as possible. Check back here to see upcoming events and ways to get involved.

Many Ways to Engage

Not everybody has the time to show up and speak up at public meetings. That’s why there are a variety of ways to engage with Connected 2050 and help improve our process.

Take our survey to help provide input to our updated Guiding Principles and align the rest of Connected 2050 with the community’s needs.

Host a Community Meeting

Sometimes the best way to learn something is through informal discussions among friends and peers. That’s why our community partners are helping out Connected 2050 by hosting meetings to provide feedback on the future of transportation in our region. EWG has created a Community Meeting Toolkit to assist in these discussions. Are you interested in hosting a meeting and helping guide the next 20 years of transportation investment?

Equity Advisory Group

One of the key focus groups that will help inform our planning process is the Equity Advisory Group (EAG). This newly formed group is made up of local stakeholders, East-West Gateway Board of Directors members, and Board-appointed representatives from all over our region. The EAG will bring varied perspectives which represent the wide range of goals, experiences, and viewpoints present in the greater-St. Louis area. EAG members will provide feedback and suggestions on many aspects of Connected 2050. They will also serve as ambassadors of the plan process to their own communities.

The following organizations have been invited to join the EAG:

  • NAACP-City of St. Louis Chapter
  • NAACP-East St. Louis Chapter
  • Urban League
  • International Institute of St. Louis
