TIP Amendments for Public Comment – September 2024
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and local Illinois sponsors have requested to amend the FY 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), Connected 2050, and the related Air Quality Conformity Determination to add seven new projects and modify six projects.
Amendments are open to public comment for seven days prior to approval. Comments are being accepted from Monday, September 16, 2024, and concluding on the Monday, 23, 2024.
Proposed amendments to the FY2025-2028 TIP are summarized below.
Illinois New Projects
IDOT has requested to add five new projects on behalf of local Illinois sponsors to the FY 2025-2028 TIP. Edwardsville and America’s Central Port have each requested to add one new project to the FY 2025-2028 TIP. Funding for these projects was awarded by the USDOT following a nationwide solicitation for Rebuilding America’s Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grants. Funding for the Fairview Heights, Lebanon, Mascoutah, and Millstadt projects was awarded by IDOT following a statewide solicitation for Safe Routes to School (SRTS) projects.
