Presentation to the South County Business Community, February 25, 2004
Purpose:
Study team members hosted a presentation for the members of South County's business community on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 to present proposed plans for station area development and obtain feedback from the community on potential economic development
opportunities in South County. The study team worked with several business organizations in South County, including the Affton Chamber of Commerce, Lemay Chamber of Commerce and South County Chamber of Commerce, to inform members about the presentation.
During the event, some general background information about the study was presented, as well as the three draft detailed MetroLink Alternatives that were narrowed down from the four preliminary alternatives. Audience members were then able to review and provide feedback
on proposed plans for the following stations:
- Watson Road, along the Blue alternative;
- Watson Road, as the terminus for the Purple alternative;
- South County Center;
- Butler Hill.
