Purpose: Since the kick-off and public scoping meeting in July, 2003, East-West Gateway Coordinating Council, Metro, and the Missouri Department of Transportation, along with its consultants, have narrowed down the wide range of MetroLink alternatives to four preliminary alternative routes. This was done using generalized criteria, and included public input from the scoping meeting. All of the routes suggested at the scoping meeting were fully considered.

The purpose of the two open house meetings was to present the preliminary MetroLink alternatives for South St. Louis County. Attendees also had the opportunity to take a virtual reality tour of each one. The content was the same for each meeting, and included a presentation from the study team.
