Transportation Alternatives Program

The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) provides funding for on- and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility, community improvement activities, environmental mitigation, and safe routes to school projects. All-Hazard Mitigation Plan 5-Year Update

East-West Gateway and its planning partners have been developing the All-Hazard Mitigation Plan and are ready for community input.  Beginning in September, East-West Gateway will be hosting workshops to discuss the planning process and for communities to offer input regarding their pre-disaster all-hazard needs and what mitigation actions would be most beneficial for those communities.  More...

The FY 2015-2018 Transportation Improvement Program and Air Quality Conformity Determination were approved by the Board of Directors at its July 30, 2014 meeting. The documents will become effective October 1, 2014, pending State and Federal approvals.

Lower Meramec Watershed

In 2010, the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources commissioned East-West Gateway,  to develop a nine-element watershed plan. The Meramec River was identified as the region’s number one priority river and put the focus on the lower Meramec watershed area.   This new watershed plan creates a long-term framework for restoring the three subwatersheds that are designated as degraded streams and protecting the healthy streams.
