FTA Section 5310: Transportation for Elderly Persons and Persons with Disabilities
East-West Gateway is taking applications for public transit and human service transportation project funding. These funds provide for transportation for the elderly and/or disabled where public transportation services are unavailable. Below is a link to application information for anyone applying for Missouri 5310 funds. The deadline for receipt of application materials is 5:00 pm, Friday, April 16, 2010.

An Illinois Levee Summit convened in August 2007 to provide an overview of the levee systems in the St. Louis region and described levee deficiencies and flood risks in the Illinois portion of the region. FEMA believes that the Illinois levees have significant underseepage problems that increase the risk of flooding. This could lead to the deaccreditation of the regional levee system.
