The East-West Gateway Council of Governments has an opening for a Grant Administrator. This position will report to the Director of Administration and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with grant requirements, Council policies, and maintenance of grants/contract files. The duties will include but not be limited to maintaining and revising, as necessary, detailed line item budgets for various grants, reconciling expenditures to the budget, maintaining project contract files, monitoring contract compliance, assisting with grant acquisitions, and coordinating and preparing reports.
The successful candidate will have prior experience in grants and contracts administration. Prior accounting/bookkeeping experience is a plus. The candidate should have knowledge of grant and contract accounting procedures and be able to review, for accuracy and completeness, the financial reports necessary to ensure that the funds are fully utilized and documented. Must be proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software such as Excel, Quattro, MS Word, or Word Perfect.
This position requires a bachelor degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with major course work in public administration, business administration, or other directly related field. One year of directly related experience is required. An advanced degree may substitute for one year of experience.
The salary range for this position begins at $32,340 annually, with actual starting salary based on background and experience. Competitive benefit package.
